This September 2018, my family will celebrate the one year anniversary of living in our new Gryboski home. Without the textbook project management and real-time information regarding the job price, we wouldn’t have been able to make our dream home come true.
Even though budget was at the forefront of our decision making, we have a truly custom home with high-end custom finishes. This was contributed mainly from the creative “outside of the box” solutions from Sharon (Cottage Hill Designs), Bob, Steve, and their team.
Bob, Steve, and their crew were extremely professional. From the framing to the finish work and craftsmanship of a Gryboski home, the results are second to none. Their sub-contractor were absolutely amazing and receptive to our requests and worked very well together. Even though this was a new construction, the jobsite was kept extremely tidy and safe for our eager kids to keep tabs on its progress.
The project schedule, change orders, and job costs were laid out in their easily accessible cloud-based project management tool assuring us that the project and budget were on track. Even with some extreme weather setbacks and tight contractor schedules, we moved in to our new house on the day that was promised at the start of the project. More importantly, we had a very short punch list of items to be completed even with the aggressive move-in date which meant we had very few visits from contractors as we were settling into our new home.
We will definitely have the Gryboski team back to finish our basement. We wouldn’t trust anyone else to finish what they started.

We hired Bob and Steve to help us upgrade our 23+ year old kitchen without a complete remodel. We wanted to retain many of the existing features (flooring, cabinets) but wanted to add a professional style stove, new refrigerator, and granite countertops.
They were able to design a plan that fit our needs and budget. The project was run very smoothly and completed on time and as budgeted! Steve and his Dad, Roger originally built our house over 23 years ago and Bob and Steve are carrying on the same fine tradition. We would certainly recommend them to anyone.
Gryboski Remodeling gutted and renovated our kitchen, bathroom and first floor hallway and staircase to the second floor. Two walls were torn down in the process, the subfloor removed, carpet removed and wallboard removed and then everything rebuilt from there. The total project timeline was approximately 8 weeks.
The project was on time and on budget. Gryboski has aligned with very good subcontractors for all of the work that was done on the home - painting, flooring, plumbing, electrical, etc. The foreman provided by Gryboski was very professional, and attentive to detail on the project. We would hire them again to complete a remodel project for us.

Gryboski Builders was in charge of our backyard/patio renovation last summer. We were very impressed with all the guidance they gave us, suggestions made to us along the way, and their handling of all the subcontractors, etc. They were professional and timely.
They helped take out an old retaining wall, rebuilt a new wall, fireplace, and built-in grill. Our project costs were detailed ahead of time, and updated along the way when we chose to make any changes. The final product is absolutely gorgeous and we love it! The Mason on the job was fantastic and worked closely with us designing the fireplace and selecting the stone. We would highly recommend Gryboski Builders.
Bob and Steve do an excellent job from start to finish. We compared several builders from the start and made our final three builder choices submit bids for our home. Gryboski Builders got the job for several reasons.
Bob is excellent to work with on the numbers side and for meeting with sub-contractors. We liked that we could pick who we wanted for some of our subcontractors. Bob does an excellent job with all the numbers and keeps you in the loop for project costs. Our project which was a large one, was completed on time and UNDER budget. Bob even wrote us a check at the end because we were under budget--NICE!! Steve does an excellent job on the construction side. He kept our project moving along and scheduled all the important phases of construction in a timely and expedient manner. We built a large house and it was completed in 10 months. We were very impressed with the construction sequencing and there were no periods during the construction were the house was idle. Steve does an excellent keeping the subs moving along!! Overall, we would strongly recommend using Gryboski Builders for whatever type of home construction or remodeling you are thinking about.

I hired Gryboski Builders to update my 14 year old custom kitchen. This is a company with a solid reputation and a network of capable, dependable, subs. My project was carefully bid, and expertly managed. Most importantly, the workmanship and attention to detail were spot on.
The kitchen is full of custom moldings, and painted finishes......each of which had to be matched and added to. We have a small cape cod with 2 bedrooms downstairs and 2 upstairs. We decided to make the two downstairs bedrooms into a master suite with walk in closet and bathroom.
Deciding on a practical layout was a challenge to our eyes but the team of Gryboski came through with a plan that incorporated all our wishes. We have a beautiful tile shower and first floor laundry room. All of the subcontractors we worked with were respectful during the renovation. They also suggested practical ideas. We worked with Bob & Steve Gryboski along with their team of employees at Gryboski Builders for our new home construction in 2007. The entire Gryboski Team made this a great and memorable experience.
From the simplest details to the most complex questions or concerns we had they provided answers with certainty that everything discussed was being taken care of. Their service and quality throughout the entire project was superior and second to none. Our great experience with Gryboski Builders on this project led us to work with Gryboski Renovations in 2013 with the remodeling of our lake home, again nothing but a great experience. I would recommend them for new home construction or remodeling projects.
This is the second time we've worked with Gryboski builders, but this was the largest project they've completed for us. The scope of work included new hardwood floors in kitchen, foyer, bath, and laundry.
It also included a complete laundry room and family room remodel including new cabinets, lockers, fireplace, dry stacked ledgestone wall, ceiling beams and updated lighting. The workmanship was top quality, both from project managers as well as subcontractors. The project was completed within the timelines, even with increased scope of work. They also completed the work during the requested time of year. Gryboski was very flexible in our desire to add ceiling beams, increase scope of work on laundry room, and replacement of laundry vents - all which were not included in original scope of work. As a result, the project was above budget (due to increased work), however we feel the cost was in line with work completed.

My husband and I chose Gryboski Builders after months of research and discussion with subcontractors and realtors about who were the best home builders in the Green Bay area. We met with several of our top choices to discuss our plans.
After our initial meeting with Bob Gryboski, we signed the contract because he was patient, honest, understanding, and willing to answer all questions. During the following meetings, their draftsman listened to all of our ideas and came back with a near perfect floor plan within our square footage and price budget! We were provided with an informative binder listing all of our subcontractors and price allowances. We only went about $5000 over our allowance by the time the house was finished and most of that was our choice. We were able to visit the construction site regularly during the 5 months of the build. Every worker on site was friendly and professional and easy to converse with. I was impressed that each subcontractor cleaned up when they were finished for the day. The builders were respectful of our neighbors and their property. Steve Gryboski, the contractor for the construction, was constantly in contact with us about the progress. They used a new website called Builders Trend which kept us informed about any change orders or schedule adjustments, Their secretary, Katie, kept this up to date and answered any call or email promptly and efficiently. The foreman on our house, Steve Schroeder, does very precise work. Whenever I had an idea about the design, they listened and tried to make it work. We were told many times by the Gryboskis and the subcontractors that "It's your house." We never felt pressured that we had to choose something we didn't want. We mainly used the subcontractors that they suggested because they worked so well together and spoke highly of the Gryboskis way of building a house: Valley Cabinet, Macco's Flooring, Benzschawel Plumbing, Delsart Electric, Pella-VerHalen, WI Building Supply, and Molding & Millwork Specialties. Our decision to buy our own appliances and ceiling fans and have leaded glass transom windows made privately were accepted without question. My husband was able to do some work in the house also, like putting shelves on the basement walls and in the laundry room. We always felt it was our house from the beginning. We moved into our new home about 2 weeks after the originally scheduled completion date. There were a few things that needed to be fixed and they were very prompt returning to the house to correct them, even though it was during the busy Christmas season. The Gryboskis build some of the more expensive homes in the Green Bay area. Our home falls into the lower price range of their homes. During our build, they were also building an enormous house, five times the size of our house. To their credit, they treated every square foot of our house as important as the bigger more expensive home. They have a solid reputation for building quality homes and we are happy to say that reputation is well-deserved! We love our new house and highly suggest Gryboski Builders.

We were so pleased with their quality and efficiency of work, not to mention the ease of working with all of their employees, that we decided to use them to build a second home in the north woods. When it came time to remodel our kitchen in our primary home, once again, we turned to Gryboski's, who once again, did an awesome remodel! Our most current job, that has recently been completed, (on time & on budget) was to add outdoor living space behind and connected to our primary home. Their quality of work is exquisite and knowledge of their trade undeniable! I would recommend and trust Gryboski Builders with any of our building needs!!!

Gryboski builders did a fantastic job! We hired Gryboski builders to complete the renovation of our house interior. The scope of the project was substantial – essentially, the house was entirely rebuild within.
The work was handled in a professional manner. The entire project was completed within the initially allocated time frame of 3 1/2 months. The continuity of the workflow was very well handled; materials were ordered and received on time, work started and continued with almost no waste of time. The work ethic of everybody involved in the project was very professional and respectful. Our project related concerns and wishes were addressed and quickly resolved. The auxiliary companies that Gryboski builders work with such as plumbers, electricians , etc. are also on high professional level. The interior of our house was rebuild in a very modern, contemporary style. Another thing to keep in mind is that despite many changes in the project, Gryboski builders managed to stay in budget. Their suggestions regarding certain aspects of the design were pretty timely and priceless. Excellent job Gryboski builders! Highly recommend!
